Joël was already working with computers before he could read or write. At the age of just five, he had already gained an encyclopaedic knowledge of all the keyboard shortcuts he needed to boot up computer games on the legendary Commodore 64. This was to be the beginning of his love affair with computers and the world of possibilities that they open up, which remains unadulterated to this day.
He started his computing career in the field of systems engineering, where he focused primarily on the construction and operation of server and network infrastructures. He developed a special interest in complex, challenging IT projects early on. The next step in his years-long journey was to take on a team leader role and complete his extra-occupational diploma in computer science.
Then came the next milestone in his career as he made the leap to the field of software development, where he developed web applications for clients from various industries. To deepen his theoretical foundations in the field of software engineering, he completed an extra-occupational Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science.
After that Joël spent several years working in the eHealth industry, where he played a major role in the development of Switzerland’s electronic health record. As the leading Senior System Architect, he was responsible for developing and designing the system and software architecture.
Alongside his professional career, Joël was also active as an entrepreneur. He played a significant role in the development of an e-learning platform for Polish universities and a communication platform for doctors in Switzerland. Joël’s passion is developing innovative IT solutions. As a co-founder of Novaloop, he is confident that he can make a positive contribution to the future of digitalisation in Switzerland.
