Patrick owes his career as a software developer to a good friend. The friend suggested he try computer science because it suited his strengths: mathematics, logical thinking and analysing how things fit together. Patrick took the step and soon discovered his passion for software development.
He studied business information systems at the University of Zurich, graduating with a bachelor’s degree. He then stayed on to deepen his knowledge with a master’s degree in data science.
Patrick spent nine years at jls digital ag. During this time, he worked as a full-stack developer and, for four years, simultaneously led a team of software developers. As technical lead, he was responsible for numerous custom software projects: engineering entirely new applications as well as replacing legacy software with modern solutions. His clients were as varied as the projects, ranging from the public sector to private companies. He built applications aimed at private individuals as well as business software that employees use in their daily work.
Across all these projects, he discovered what still drives him today: building applications that don’t just work, but make life easier for the people who use them. High usability and thoughtful UI design are his top priorities.
Since 2026, Patrick has been a partner at Novaloop. Here he combines his experience from many client projects and his high standards for user interfaces with the knowledge from his data science studies. It’s a natural fit for Novaloop, which builds custom software and delivers AI projects.
